Policy and Practice Impacts

The American Journal of Preventative Medicine paper “Small-changes obesity treatment among Veterans: 12-month outcomes” (CCMR authors Laura Damschroder, Myra Kim, Leah Gillon, Rob Holleman, David Goodrich, Julie Lowery and Caroline Richardson) was distributed to VHA leadership as an HSR&D Center for Information Dissemination and Education Resources (CIDER) briefing. Abstract

Awards

Jack Iwashyna was senior author of a team from Switzerland, the UK, Italy and Australia that received the "Best International Paper" Award from the Health Care Management Division of the Academy of Management. That paper has since been published in Medical Care.

Marcia Valenstein was awarded the Community Service Award by the UMMS Dean’s Office. This award recognizes Medical School faculty who contribute to the local, national or global community in an extraordinary fashion.

Honors

Ann-Marie Rosland and Michele Heisler have been invited to serve on the HSR&D Career Development Award Program Enhancement Initiative Advisory Committee.

Angie Fagerlin was listed as one of the top 1% of most-cited researchers worldwide by Thompson Reuters.
