QUERI Program: Maintaining Implementation through Dynamic Adaptations (MIDAS QUERI)

The MIDAS (Maintaining Implementation through Dynamic Adaptations) QUERI Program uses the Learn. Engage. Act. Process. (LEAP) QI learning program and enhanced Academic Detailing to support dynamic, sustained, frontline-driven, and data-informed adaptations and improvements to integrate evidence-based treatments into routine practice. Through 3 projects developed with National and VISN partners, MIDAS seeks to address high-priority issues including appropriate deprescribing in older adults using the VIONE approach, reduction of unsafe usage of Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs), and increased use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Across all 3 projects, the MIDAS team aims to optimize and sustain use of evidence-based treatments while supporting VHA’s High Reliability Organization mission.
